the Home Place

The Home Place has been around for about 100 years. When we remodeled, we worked for a blend of modern convenience and farm house comfort. Travelers seeking refuge, crowing roosters, grazing cattle, an occasional deer and maybe a bear, fresh air and water literally say,

"This is just what we needed!"

Three bedrooms offering the flexibility of either king or twin beds, will accomodate six people. Another day bed in the living room will sleep two more guests. A youth bed is also available. The Home Place is great for,

  • Groups on Retreat

  • Couples or Honeymooners
  • Events with up to 40 guests 
  • and Hunting Parties in the Fall and Winter hunting seasons

the Brown Recluse

Writers and couples love the unassuming cabin in the woods is a great place to hibernate, regenerate & create. During the late Fall and Winter guests enjoy the view of the surrounding  mountains. In the Spring and Summer, guests relax on the deck where the trees cloak this little refuge with greenery. This small but efficient cabin is furnished with a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a day bed in the living room. Yes, we are repeating ourselves, but it gives us great pleasure to report, guests who recently booked the cabin really did say, 

"We really need this!"
